
Modules in EVE Echoes are items of equipment that can be fitted to ships. Each module has, at a baseline, a Tech Level requirement, along with Powergrid and Capacitor needs in order to be fitted to a ship. Skills can both increase the amount of Powergrid a ship has (through the Engineering skill) as well as reduce the amount of Powergrid and Capacitor charge required (through various skills) to fit and use a module.
Module Sizes[]
Modules come in three different sizes: Small, Medium and Large. The size of the module generally determines the type of ship it can be fitted to: Small modules on Frigates and Destroyers, Medium on Cruisers and Battlecruisers and Large on Battleships. You usually cannot fit modules onto a smaller than intended ship without significant skill investment and Rigs due to the amount of Powergrid they require. For example, it's possible with Expert Frigate Engineering to be able to fit a Medium Afterburner onto a Succubus (a Frigate).
Module Slots[]
All ships can fit modules into three types of slots: High, Medium, and Low.
High Slot[]
High slots are reserved for Weapons and Harvesting Modules, along with modules that allow you to transfer Shield or Armor to another ship. The larger class of ship, the more high slots it will have. Ships have between 3 and 8 high slots, depending on its size.

Mid Slot[]
Mid slots are reserved for a ship's Sub-Weapons such as Electronic Warfare (Webs and Warp Disrupters), Logistics Modules, and Drones. While drones are considered a mid slot module, ships that can have them have a dedicated Drone Bay to load them into and do not take up a ships mid slots. Ships have between 2 and 5 mid slots, depending on its size.

Low Slot[]
Low slots are reserved for Enhancement modules such as Shield Boosters, Armor Repairers, Capacitor Batteries, propulsion modules and weapon upgrades. Most low slot modules have diminishing returns on effectiveness if more than one are fitted to a ship and some have a limit of one per ship, such as Reactive Shield Hardeners. Ships can fit between 2 and 7 low slot modules, depending on its size.
